Meghan Markle hides from cameras as she watches Harry play polo with Serena Williams

Meghan Markle was at the Cowarth Park Polo Club in Berkshire yesterday.

She was snapped watching her new husband Prince Harry, 33, play polo in the Audi Polo Cup, flanked by security guards as she attempted to stay hidden from the cameras.

Harry is a keen polo player, with his brother Prince William also making an appearance at the match.

Meghan’s close friend tennis star Serena Williams also joined the royals at the Berkshire polo club, along with her husband Alex Ohanian.

In the boiling hot sun, Meghan chose a weather-appropriate summery shirt dress.

Looking happy and relaxed, she wore the £299 Shoshanna dress and she cheered on Harry.

The Ashland Sleeveless Belted Gingham Eyelet Dress, which has currently sold out, retailed for £299, a fraction of the price of Meghan’s usual pricey ensembles.

With temperatures soaring to 27 degrees, Meghan’s A-line midi dress had open eyelet detailing, a tied belt at the waist and a wide, open collar, which Meghan wore buttoned down.

On her feet the Duchess wore a pair of boho brown strappy sandals, tying above the ankle.

The “Grear” sandals are £185 and from designer Sarah Flint, currently still in stock.

Channelling her pre-wedding more chic and edgy look, she paired the dress with a simple Panama hat and big black sunglasses.

Her long dark hair was tied in a lose messy bun beneath her hat, a favoured hairstyle of Meghan before her nuptials and royal makeover.

The eyelet detailed dress is a refreshing change from Meghan’s new favoured colour, pale pink.

At nearly all royal engagements sincer her wedding, Meghan has worn a shade of pale pink or blush, a rather safe option.

Many people speculated as to whether Megahn had left behind her pre-wedding sense of style, one that included sharp tailoring, monochrome pieces and lots of black.

However her laid-back, boho polo look confirms Meghan has not lost her old sense of style.

Her appearance at the polo club marks one year since the former actress was first spotted in public with her now husband Harry.

The two are often spotted displaying lots of affection towards each other, but a video recently emerged of Harry appearing to reject Meghan’s advances.

At the Queen’s Young Leader Awards this last Tuesday at Buckingham Palace, Meghan was walking with Harry and appeared to reach for his hand.

Harry withdrew and brought his hands closer to his side, reportedly as to not break royal protocol.
