Meghan Markle: Royal makes bold makeup move at Buckingham Palace – copying Kate Middleton
Meghan Markle, 36, is a natural beauty, wearing barely any make-up – even on her wedding day to Prince Harry.
With her famed “Meghan Markle glow” she is usually spotted wearing little to no make-up.
However, she made a bold makeup move when she stepped out in Buckingham Palace this evening with a face full of makeup, dazzling with very shimmery cheeks.
Along with the Queen, 92, and her new husband Prince Harry, 33, Meghan attended The Queen’s Young Leader Programme award ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Now in its fourth and final year, the programme celebrates the achievements of young people across the Commonwealth.
Shimmering under the palace lights, Meghan’s lashings of pink highlighter made her skin look even more glowing and dewy than normal.
She wore a subtle dark smokey eye and pink glossy lips, which drew attention to her shimmery, statement cheeks.
Meghan’s new make-up look is very similar to the one often worn by her new sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.
Kate is often spotted with over-blushed cheeks and heavy shimmer, giving a dewy “royal glow” to her face.
She famously did her own make-up at her 2011 wedding to Prince William, where she wore lashings of Bobbi Brown pink highlighter.
Taking inspiration from Kate’s make-up, Meghan could be wearing Becca Cosmetics’ newest highlighter “Royal Glow”, which was created by the brand to celebrate Meghan and Harry’s Royal Wedding.
The aptly named highlighter promises to give wearers a glow that is worthy of royalty, or the “Markle Sparkle”.
Coming in a warm caramel shade infused with pink pearl, lashings of the highlighter will give users the same make-up look sported by Meghan herself this evening.
Another way to get Meghan’s look is by using a pink blush, such as Nars blush in “Orgasm”.
Speaking to Allure.com back in 2014, Meghan revealed her beauty must-haves, with the coral-pink coloured blush making it onto the list.
Promising to give a health-looking colour and silky finish, Meghan could be wearing her favourite blush at the Commonwealth award ceremony.
In the same interview with Allure, the new Duchess of Sussex also claimed to be a big fan of Make Up For Ever HD powder, revealing it made her skin look “shiny and fresh, but not greasy shiny”.
The make-up move from the 36-year-old is a daring new look for the usually natural former actress.
To match her pink make-up look, Meghan wore a stunning pale pink Prada midi dress to the award ceremony this evening.
The dress, which had a 50s twist, also had large buttons and a belt in a matching hue to the dress.
