Meghan Markle shows off her sporty side in £2407 outfit for the Coach Core Awards
Meghan Markle showed off her sporty side shortly after arriving at Loughborough University for the inaugural Coach Core Awards.
Despite wearing a formal outfit and heels, the Duchess of Sussex got stuck into the day’s events, throwing and catching a netball.
The former actress was pictured wearing a navy Oscar de la Renta blouse from the 2018/2019 collection, priced at £1,636, and black Altuzarra trousers she’s previously worn before, which cost £476.
The top featured an asymmetric design at the hem and her waist was accentuated with a skinny navy blue belt.
Her trousers were slim leg but showed a slight flare at the bottom, slightly concealing the pair of black pointed toe stilettos she was wearing.
With lots of details going on with the blouse, a delicate Pascale Monvoisin necklace, worth £295, was the perfect fit for the outfit.
The look was finished off with Meghan wearing her hair down and straight, and a natural make-up look.
Husband, Prince Harry, wore a black suit, with a light purple shirt, a dark brown belt, and a pair of brown suede brogues.
Both the Duchess and Duke of Sussex looked in competitive spirits as they enjoyed a game of netball.
The special day will see masterclasses from world record holder Paula Radcliffe, tennis player Laura Robson and England netballer Eboni Beckford-Chambers and the apprentices showing off their skills in a series of drills and team games.
Meghan and Harry will then present the prizes in the Coach Core Awards, which is also taking place at the university.
Harry is also set to give a speech to the young apprentices.
The scheme, set up by The Royal Foundation in 2012 to use the power of sport to help change lives, trains hundreds of young apprentices and puts them in touch with the biggest sports clubs in the country.
The apprentices, who are not in education or employment, get tuition, a wage and hopefully a chance to become the next generation of sports coaches.
Community outreach project of the year, graduate of the year, mentor of the year, educator of the year and apprentice of the year are among some of the awards which are to be handed out.
Earlier this year in March, the couple also met Coach Core apprentices in Birmingham.
This was the couple’s first public visit to Leicestershire together, although they may have visited previously under the radar.
Harry was last in the country when he visited Leicester in March 2017.
During this visit he retraced the footsteps of his mum Princess Diana and visited Regent Road based charity Leicestershire AIDS Support Services.
But the Duke and Duchess did visit the nearby Nottingham together for their first visit as an engaged couple, back in December last year.
