Meghan Markle, 37, has had a busy year filled with lots of royal firsts.

Since retiring from acting and marrying Prince Harry, 34, in May the former actress has thrown herself into royal duties.

Tonight the Duchess of Sussex will host her first solo event at Kensington Palace to launch ‘Together’.

It was revealed earlier in the week that Meghan is supporting a new charity cookbook by women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire called ’Together: Our Community Cookbook’.

The newlywed royal has been visiting the communal kitchen at the Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre in West London since January and hopes to bring communities together through cooking.

Her husband Harry will also be at the event to offer support to his new wife.

As nerve wracking as this first event will be for the new royal, it’s not the first event of importance that Meghan has undertaken.
