Meghan Markle wears Royal Wedding dress style neckline to celebrate centenary of the RAF
Meghan Markle, 36, arrived at Westminster Abbey with husband Prince Harry, 33, and his bother Prince William, 36 at mark the centenary of the Royal Air Force.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a a black dress which featured a batueu neckline and a full A line skirt.
She completed the outfit with a black fascinator and nude pointed-toe stilletoes.
Her hair was tied back into a tight chignon and a matching black clutch bag finished off the look.
Meghan’s dress showed similarities with the one she wore for her wedding back in May.
He wedding gown featured a similar bateau neckline with long sleeves and no intricate detailing.
Meghan’s wedding dress, was designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy Couture.
As well as a bateau neckline it featured a triple silk organza under skirt.
While her dress was plain, her five-metre-long veil was trimmed with lace, depicting flowers from each of the 53 Common wealth countries.
Both Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge wore their No 1 RAF unifrom.
Prince William’s featured RAF wings in recogniton of being a qualified RAF pilot, while Prince Harry’s featured RAF Regiment shoulder flashes, in recognition of RAF Honington – the home of the RAF Regiment.
Harry’s shoulder flashes also recongise his role as Honorary Air Commandant of the base.
The trip weren’t the only royals present at the event.
The Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were also present at the event.
The service began at 10:30am and will be followed by a Buckingham Palace royal salute and flypast, due to take place at 12:30am.
A Horseguards Parade will also be taking place from 2:30pm.
Today’s events to celebrate the RAF, marks 100 years ago, on April 1, 1918, when the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service merged to created the Royal Air Force (RAF).
