Melania Trump channels Jackie Kennedy as she returns to White House with Donald and Barron
Melania Trump, 48, returned to the White House last night with her husband Donald Trump and son Barron.
The trio was also joined by Melania’s parents Viktor Knavs and Amalija Knavs, as they made their way across the White House lawns.
The family were returning to Washington from Bedminster, New Jersey, where they spend the weekend at the Trump National Golf Club.
Always dressed to impress, Melania looked stunning as she channelled an iconic First Lady.
In a look reminiscent of the 1960s First Lady, Melania wore a dark green turtleneck jumper.
The jumper featured ribbed detail around the neck, sleeves and edge, with Melania choosing to wear the sleeves rolled up.
She paired the daring jumper with a pair of summery bright white jeans, a style she is often seen wearing.
On her feet she kept things casual with some white trainers, squeaky clean and bright with not a scratch or mark on them.
Protecting her eyes from the sun as she strode across the lawns back to the White House, Melania wore a stylish pair of reflective sunglasses.
Aviator-style, the glasses hid Melania’s eyes, with just the reflection of the laws seen in the lenses.
Melania, Donald and Barron seemed to be in the best of spirits as they returned to their home from a relaxing weekend away.
Donald looked serious and well turned out, wearing his trademark Republican red tie and black suit.
Barron’s summery look was similar to his mother’s, wearing a pair of beige chinos and a white, buttoned-up polo shirt.
They also returned with Melania’s parents Viktor and Amalija Knavs, who have recently been granted full US citizenship.
Melania’s parents are both Slovenian, with Melania herself born in the rural town of Sevnica, Slovenia, then part of Yugoslavia.
Melania has been living in the US for 22 years, with her parents following in their daughter’s footsteps by gaining US citizenship.
The couple gained citizenship by using a visa that is actually opposed by Donald Trump.
Melania’s parents applied for a family visa, something that her Donald Trump’s administration is trying to limit the use of.
Currently, a family visa is only granted to the parents, adult siblings, adult children or married and unmarried partners of American citizens.
Donald wants to limit this to just spouses and minor children – meaning Melania’s parents would not have qualified if the rules were changed.
