Melania Trump style: First Lady STEALS the show in yellow gown at gala with Australian PM

Donald Trump’s wife wore a bright yellow Christian Dior gown for the glamorous event in New York City. 

Around 700 guests attended the American Australian Association gala, including guest of honour, Australian Prime Minster Malcolm Turnbull. 

It was the first trip back to New York for Donald Trump since he became president. 

The asymmetrical gown hugged 47-year-old Melania’s waist, with a yellow ribbon draping down her back. 

Melania wore her hair down with loose waves for the occasion.

Her makeup featured dark smoky eyeshadow and light red lipstick.  

The First Lady’s chosen dress colour was a nod to the national colours of Australia, yellow and green. 

After meeting with Mr Turnbull several hours later than anticipated, Mr Trump said: “We have a fantastic relationship, I love Australia.”
