Mission Impossible 6 release date: When does Mission Impossible 6 come out in UK and USA?
Tom Cruise stars once again as Ethan Hunt in the sixth addition to the Mission: Impossible series, which has been dazzling viewers with over-the-top stunts and action since 1996.
The latest addition to the franchise is the sixth movie to feature Ethan Hunt flouting the rules and jumping into, out of, and onto vehicles going at a great speed.
When does Mission: Impossible 6 come out in cinemas in the UK and USA?
Mission: Impossible – Fallout fans in the UK can start celebrating, as they got the sequel a whole two days ahead of the USA.
The movie arrived in UK cinemas on July 25, but is not out in USA cinemas until tomorrow, on July 27.
Fallout had its premiere in Paris on July 12, followed by a London premiere on July 13.
The last country to get Ethan Hunt onto its screens is Greece, which has to wait until August 30, 2018, for the movie to arrive in its cinemas.
Tom Cruise is known for doing most of his own stunts, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout was no exception.
Cruise completed what’s known as a HALO Jump, standing for high-altitude military parachuting.
The stunt took more than a year to plan and execute.
Cruise’s stunt featured an extended free fall, a tactic used by military special operators, from 25,000 to 30,000 feet.
Due to the necessities of the stunt being for a movie, as opposed to an actual military operation, there were plenty of new aspects to take into consideration.
In order to get the stunt right, Cruise told the panel at CinemaCon he had to jump out of the plane 106 times before they got it right.
Entirely new gear was designed for the stunt, allowing Cruise’s face to be visible when the regular gear would not have made this possible.
But perhaps more impressive than Cruise’s attempts were that of the cameraman.
The cameraman was, in fact, a skydiver first and filmmaker second, and had to learn all of Cruise’s moves but backwards so the camera could focus on Cruise.
Additionally, both the cameraman and Cruise had to keep the perfect distance between each other so the shot would remain in focus.
This one-take shot was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the movie, and fans will only have to wait a few more days to see it in action.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout is in UK cinemas now and in US cinemas July 27.
