Princess Eugenie wedding update: What's she wearing, who's a bridesmaid and who's invited?
Princess Eugenie is marrying her long-term boyfriend, tequila ambassador and former London nightclub worker Jack Brooksbank this October.
The two announced their engagement in January this year, with Jack getting down on one knee in Nicaragua.
The Queen reportedly said that Jack is a “thoroughly nice young man” and gave the couple their blessing.
Details of the wedding date and venue were quickly released – October at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, the same venue as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s nuptials.
Back in March Eugenie revealed on her Instagram account that her wedding planning had begun, with just eight months to plan the second royal wedding of the year.
However the wedding will be much more low key than that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with their nuptials on a Friday and not expected to be televised.
Her bridal look
Princess Eugenie will be a royal bride, and will have to follow a lot of royal protocol on her big day, with her dress and appearance.
When it comes to her dress, Cambridge Vintage Bridal’s Siobhan Mulholland predicted Eugenie’s will give a nod to her mother Sarah Ferguson’s.
Speaking to the Express.co.uk she said: “Princess Eugene is a woman who definitely knows what suits her and she sticks to it.
“We very rarely see her in floor-skimming dresses or even trousers because she works the A-line knee/shin-skimmer dresses so well.”
One thing Eugenie will have to keep classic and traditional is her makeup, with having natural-looking makeup just one of the strict rules the bride will have to follow, including not wearing bold colours or bright lipsticks.
This might be unwelcomed by the 28-year-old, who is more often than not spotted with dark coloured nail polish and nail art – reportedly a royal no-no.
The flame-haired princess’ bouquet will also have to feature a flowering plant called myrtle, according to the decades old custom. Also carried by the Duchess of Sussex at her wedding in May.
The guestlist
Eugenie and Jack both have a host of socialite, pop star and Hollywood actor friends, with many of them expected to attend the couple’s nuptials.
Eugenie is reportedly close friends with singer Ellie Goulding, rumoured to even be a bridesmaid.
Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas, Cara Delevingne and Richard Branson’s daughter, Holly Branson are also all friends of the royal, no doubt set to make an appearance in October.
As the UK brand ambassador for Casimigos Tequila, Jack is suspected to have invited the brand’s co-founders, George Clooney and Rande Gerber, to the nuptials. With George also having attended Meghan and Harry’s special day.
If the famous pair attend, it is more than likely they will come complete with their other halves Amal Clooney and supermodel Cindy Crawford. Milan Kunis, Aston Kutcher and the Beckhams are also friends with the couple, and could make an appearance.
The bridesmaids
It has been reported that Eugenie’s sister Beatrice will be Maid of Honour, with bridesmaids being made up of close friends and relatives.
Following in royal tradition Eugenie will most likely have children in he bridesmaids party, with Meghan having Princess Charlotte, Harry’s goddaughter Miss Florence van Cutsem, and her friend’s Jessica Mulroney and Benita Litt’s daughters.
