Queen Letizia beams as she meets Spanish women’s youth football team in Madrid

Queen Letizia, 45, looked sharp and stylish as she greeted the young women at the royal residence.

The mum-of-two wore a white silk sleeveless top which she tucked in to navy cropped trousers.

Silver buttons ran along the leg of the high-waisted trousers, adding a modern detail.

She completed the look with a pair of blue and white stiletto court shoes.

Letizia’s hair was freshly cut and blowdried for the event, and hung loosely over her shoulders.

The Queen kept her makeup simple, opting for a sweep of bronzer and deep berry red lipstick.

She did not appear to be wearing any jewellery, and her nails were bare.

King Felipe’s wife looked thrilled to receive a gift from the team – she was presented with a football shirt bearing her name on the back.

Letizia beamed as she posed for pictures with the young women, who all looked excited to be meeting their Queen.

As a royal, Letizia has a busy schedule, and was out just yesterday in Madrid.

She channelled the 1950s with her choice of outfit.

Letizia covered up in a pleated floral print skirt which skimmed her mid-calves.

She paired the skirt with a loose fitting white short-sleeved top.

A thick navy belt cinched her in at the waist, with the colour matching one of the colours in her skirt.

Tying the look together, Letizia wore a pair of grey leather stiletto court shoes.
