Samuel L Jackson SPEAKS OUT on his 'Captain Marvel can TIME TRAVEL' comments
In the last couple of months, the Nick Fury star caused a stir among fans by claiming that Captain Marvel can time travel. In January, Jackson said: “She’s one of the few people in the Marvel universe that can time travel. While in another interview in February, the 70-year-old commented: “I guess we might figure out that she can do things that nobody else can do. She can time travel so maybe she can get ahead or behind or whatever, and figure out what all that is.”
However, in an interview in the last 24 hours with Kevin Ryder, Jackson has now backtracked on his previous comments.
The host asked if any of the cast had blown it when it came to revealing spoilers for Captain Marvel or Avengers Endgame.
Larson, pointing at Jackson, said: “No, you just made stuff up.”
To which he replied: “I made stuff up. I said she could time travel one time. It just jacked everybody up.”
Larson added: “We did have to kinda backtrack from that a couple of times.”
Jackson then clarified that it was late in the day and he was tired, hence making up the time travel comments.
Fans had wondered if such a power would be a big clue for Avengers Endgame.
But of course, it’s possible that the pair are covering for an accidental leak.
After all, Jackson did say Captain Marvel can time travel in two entirely separate interviews.
And it wouldn’t be the first time that those who work with Marvel have done something similar.
For example, Avengers Endgame directors The Russo Brothers said the Avengers 4 title wasn’t said in Avengers Infinity War even though it was.
Captain Marvel is released in cinemas on Friday.
