Spider-Man Homecoming: Did you spot THIS other Sinister Six Easter Egg?
The mid-credits scene for Tom Holland’s solo movie teased the teaming up of Spider-Man villains Vulture and Scorpion in prison.
Since this moment Marvel fans figured this was the hint that the Sinister Six, as seen in the comics, will form for a future Spider-Man outing.
But now one fan has spotted another teaser within that same scene.
Reddit user xPandoom123x posted a picture from the first shot highlighting a blink-and-you’ll-miss it moment.
Literally as the scene begins six birds fly over the prison ceiling window, which Michael Keaton’s Vulture notices just before meeting Scorpion.
The Reddit user writes: “In the mid-credit scene for Spider-Man: Homecoming, many of you may notice that everything that takes place is a set up for the Sinister Six in the future.
“From Vulture and Scorpion taking to each other in jail to the reference of ‘some guys on the outside’ that would like to kill Spider-Man, it’s pretty clear the intention of the scenes.
“But one thing I did notice, is something that I haven’t seen anyone else cover yet.”
They added: “If you look closely at the very beginning of the clip, you’ll see birds flying over an open window that cuts to Adrian Toomes [Vulture] walking down a jail corridor.
“But what people haven’t noticed…is how many birds it was that flew over the window.”
Next year’s Spider-Man Far From Home, which takes place directly after Avengers 4, also features Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio, who is expected to be part of the Sinister Six.
Then there’s Numan Acar’s Dimitri, who is expected to be Chameleon, while some fans think Hydro-Man will make an appearance.
Some fans are hopeful the third Spidey film will be called Spider-Man: Sinister Six.
After all, the villainous team were originally teased at the end of 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
However their film, which was slated for 2016, was scrapped after Spidey entered the MCU.
Spider-Man Far From Home is set for release in July 2019.
