Apart from the first main teaser for : The Last Jedi, fans who can’t wait for the film’s release have been relying on leaks and rumours to get those juicy tit bits of information.

Now Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh has posted a picture from the film’s set in a YouTube video (see below, 1:18 in), of the planet D’Qar.

In the new video, he sad: “The planet D’Qar will have a brief appearance in Star Wars The Last Jedi, in the first piece of the first Act of this film.

“So it’s really nice to know that this planet, which is the home of the Resistance base, is going to have a brief return in The Last Jedi.”

He added: “It only makes sense because between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi there is no time jump at all.

“We do have a set leak from The Last Jedi production and we do have an aerial photograph of D’Qar.

“Now this is the Resistance base and as you can see all those little entrances are where the X-Wings go into and the soldiers go into.

Zeroh reckons The Last Jedi will briefly start on D’Qar before exploring other new planets like Ahch-To, where Luke Skywalker is in exile and Canto Bight, the casino planet.

StarWars.com’s official description of D’Qar is as follows: “A lush world in the Outer Rim, D’Qar is the principal base of General Leia Organa’s Resistance.

“Rebel pilots first surveyed the planet before the Battle of Endor, and D’Qar housed a small Alliance outpost that went largely unused in the New Republic’s war with the Empire.

“The planet’s obscurity and lack of native intelligent life made it a perfect choice when General Organa’s new group needed a hidden base of operations.”

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 15, 2017.
