Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi: Does THIS prove Rey is the real VILLAIN instead of Luke?
Earlier this month when the new trailer for Star Wars The Last Jedi was released, a poster followed.
Fans were intrigued by Luke Skywalker, hood up and looming over Rey, representing the Light Side of the Force and over Kylo Ren representing the Dark.
Now an official poster has been released in Japan which is very similar to the UK and US image, except for one major difference.
Rey and Luke have swapped places and now Rey is looming over both the Jedi Master and Kylo Ren.
Following the trend of previous Star Wars posters, the villains – Darth Vader, Darth Maul and Kylo Ren – have traditionally been the biggest head looming over all the other characters.
Since both Luke and Rey are in this position on different posters – and both holding the Light Side blue lightsaber – it seems most likely that they’re both conflicted.
It’s previously been rumoured that a big revelation about the Force will be made in The Last Jedi.
This has been teased by the idea of a Grey Jedi who brings balance to the Force – could this be Luke or Rey?
Certainly both characters seem to be going through an attraction to the Dark Side, as seen in the latest trailer – but fans will have to wait and see.
Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
