Star Wars backlash: NO Luke Skywalker in Episode 9? Another huge clue

Boycotts, backlashes and bad alien milking scenes have created a disturbance in the Force like never before.

The Last Jedi has split Star Wars fans and left Lucasfilm and Disney in the unexpected position of have a major part of the core audience threatening boycotts of all future movies.

The recent Han Solo movie flop can be attributed to various factors, but a fan disengagemnet was clearly one of them.

Much of the unhappiness centres on the treatment (and underwhelming death) of Luke, and now another clue could indicate he might not be coming back in ghost form or otherwise…

Mark Hamill has struggled (often unsuccessfully) to hide his frustration with the final trilogy.

His latest post is not only as caustic and cutting as always, it may point towards the worst possible news.

The man also knows and Luke put up picture of a classic Jedi robe, hanging empty.

He tagged the image: “BREAKING NEWS: Star Wars Episode IX writer/director JJ Abrams casts Empty Robe in latest installment of much anticipated space-saga.”

Is he seriously hinting that he will not be back, that the robes are empty?

Another recent post showed him clean-shaven just as Episode 9 prepares to start filming, leading fans to fear he had moved on from the role and no longer needed to maintain ‘older’ Luke’s iconic beard.

Fans were quick to comment, mostly joining in the mockery of the entire situation.

Star Trek legend Brent Spiner even got in on the joke and posted: “I know I could’ve played that robe. I once played a caftan. Got great reviews.”

BEST FAN COMMENTS:

“I heard it fundamentally disagrees with the direction JJ is taking it in, as it prefers to be folded and kept in a drawer and not hung in a closet.”

“Help me, Empty Robe, you’re my only hope.”

“You can always rely on Robi-Wan Kenobi.”

“This is not the robe you’re looking for.”

“You were brilliant in Robin Hoodie.” To which another fan replied: “He was even better in Robe N’ Hood.”
