Terminator 6 DELAYED: Pushed back due to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s heart surgery?
The sixth outing for Arnie’s time-travelling robot was set for release in July 2019, but has now be pushed back to November 22nd of that year.
Last week the 70-year-old action star underwent an emergency operation for his heart, but is his recent surgery the cause of the film’s delay?
No, fans shouldn’t be concerned because Paramount Pictures have revealed the move is not related.
According to Variety the studio said the date change had been planned before knowledge of Schwarzenegger’s heart surgery came to light.
On Monday Arnie tweeted his fans, confirmed his heart operation was a success and not a cause for concern.
He wrote: “It’s true: I’m back!
“I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one,” he admitted “But guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for.
“Thank you to the doctors and nurses and I’m truly filled with gratitude for all the kind messages.”
Interestingly Arnie saying he’s back as the T-800 Terminator, isn’t what fans previously thought.
Cameron, who directed the first two movies, had alluded to Arnie playing the man the robot was based on.
Terminator 6 will be released on November 22, 2019.
