The Equalizer 2 streaming: How to watch the full movie – Is it legal to watch online?
The first Equalizer movie brought audiences the evolution of Robert McCall from mild-mannered shop employee to angel of vengeance.
Though a sequel was in the works, it was far from guaranteed.
But when Denzel Washington was ready to reprise his role, the sequel headed to cinemas four years after its predecessor.
Still playing in cinemas, some fans are ready to bring Robert McCall’s butt-kicking home.
Can you watch The Equalizer 2 online and is it legal?
Right now there are no sites legally streaming the action thriller.
Unfortunately for fans wanting a bit of vigilante justice, the original Equalizer isn’t on Netflix either.
Nor is it on Amazon Prime.
To watch the first Equalizer movie online, you’ll have to stream it for a fee at YouTube or Google Play.
For those with a subscription to Now TV, you can watch the first Equalizer movie until August 27, 2018.
The likelihood of the Equalizer sequel landing on Netflix is therefore low.
The sequel may wind up on Now TV like it’s predecessor but it’s impossible to tell when.
Estimates for when The Equalizer will be available on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes is estimated for October 2018.
Amazon Video is separate to its prime subscription and requires an extra fee.
Your best bet to see The Equalizer 2 out of the cinema ad nauseam may end up being the humble DVD.
A DVD release date for the Denzel Washington thriller is also estimated for October 2018.
The sequel brings McCall’s past back to haunt him when thugs kill his best friend and former colleague Susan Plummer (Melissa Leo).
McCall must take on a band of expert assassins who will stop at nothing to destroy him as he seeks his revenge.
Bill Pullman also reprised his role for the sequel as Brian Plummer, Susan’s husband.
Pedro Pascal (Narcos) joined the cast of the sequel as McCall’s former partner in the CIA Dave York.
Ashton Sanders, best known for his role in the Oscar-winning movie Moonlight as ‘teen Chiron’, also joined the cast.
The young actor portrays Miles Whittaker, a young man living near McCall, and suffers from a case of ‘wrong place wrong time’ for the events of Equalizer 2.
Seven months before the premiere of the first Equalizer movie Sony Pictures and Escape Artists announced their plans for a sequel.
The sequel was contingent on both Denzel Washington wanting to reprise the role, and whether or not audiences wanted another Equalizer movie.
The Equalizer is now playing in cinemas.
