The Meg streaming: How to watch the full movie online – Is it legal to watch online?
The Meg is Jason Statham’s latest adventure thriller to swim its way to cinemas everywhere.
With a plot preying on everyone’s fear of the underwater creatures, The Meg has managed to rake in plenty of box office success.
Featuring a shark which had long been thought to be extinct, The Meg has spawned all sorts of reviews, think pieces, and bad puns.
Though The Meg is still playing in cinemas, some fans are already hunting the internet for a way to bring the fear home.
Can you watch the full movie online and is it legal?
No, there’s no way to watch The Meg online.
Plenty of other Jason Statham movies are available to stream.
Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Now TV all have movies starring Statham if you’re looking for his particular brand of stoicism.
The Meg proved Statham’s desirability works beyond the franchises for which he is famous.
Prior to The Meg, his most recent outing as a film’s lead protagonist was in 2016’s Mechanic: Resurrection.
The sequel grossed £1.37m ($1.74m) total for UK cinemas.
Prior to this, his role in Wild Card (2015) only managed to make £410,000.
But his role as Jonas Taylor saw him claim his biggest ever opening outside the Fast and Furious and Expendables franchises.
As for The Meg’s eventual release to an online platform, speculation is the best bet.
The DVD release date is estimated to be sometime in November or December 2018.
However, when it comes to predicting when a movie might arrive on a streaming platform is down to pure speculation.
Some movies take a full year before arriving on a streaming giant like Netflix.
Others can show up mere months after leaving cinemas.
Any other online sites housing The Meg are illegal, so be careful when searching for places to stream.
If you can’t wait for a sea-based horror movie, watch one of the many documentaries on our polluted, plastic filled oceans.
The Meg is playing in cinemas now.
