This British Royal’s secret Instagram account has been revealed
Princess Beatrice’s Instagram account has been accidentally discovered.
The British royal’s personal account was ousted by her supermodel friend Karlie Kloss, who shared an image of Beatrice on her own account, tagging the royal.
Her account was revealed when Karlie shared a screenshot of her announcing her engagement to Beatrice via FaceTime.
In the snap Beatrice looks completely shocked, on FaceTime to the model in the back of a car.
Going by the name of @BeaYork, Beatrice has managed to remain under the radar with her social media presence, with Princess Eugenie believed to be the only royal with an account.
However, the 29-year-old’s account is super private, meaning no members of the public can follow her, see her posts, or who she is following.
The account is followed by Beatrice’s mum, Sarah Ferguson, who is also on Instagram with the username @SarahFerguson15.
Keeping things under wraps and discreet, she simply has her nickname “Bea” in her bio line.
She has just 651 followers and is following 1,021 people.
Despite her super secret account, the Princess does appear to post a lot, having shared 128 images on her account.
Unlike Beatrice, her sister Princess Eugenie’s Instagram account is open and public, attracting 277,000 followers.
The bride-to-be delighted royal fans when she opened her account earlier this year, filling it with her daily goings on and loving photographs of her fiancé Jack Brooksbank.
Eugenie and Jack are getting married on 12th October at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and will no doubt share snaps of the big day on Eugenie’s account.
While we won’t be seeing Beatrice’s first-hand images of the big day, we will be seeing a lot of her.
The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson is expected to be Maid of Honour or a bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding.
Following the announcement of Karlie Kloss’ engagement to Jared Kushner’s brother Josh, Beatrice will now have another A-list wedding on the cards.
The York sisters are the only high-ranking royals with a personal presence on social media, with the Cambridges and Sussexs both represented by Kensington Palace.
While Meghan Markle did have a very active Instagram account until November last year, she has since shut it down in accordance with royal rules.
The reason Eugenie and Beatrice are allowed personal Instagram accounts and Meghan Markle is not could be to do with the fact that they aren’t “working royals”.
Unlike the Duchess of Sussex, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are not working royals, and this is illustrated by the fact they are not listed on the royal.uk website.
