WWE news: Bruce Prichard makes HUGE CM Punk revelation after UFC heartbreak
CM Punk is one of the biggest WWE legends of all time as he won six world titles and beat some of the greatest superstars ever like John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho and many more.
The Best in the World left Vince McMahon’s promotion in 2014 citing creative differences as well as health issues and joined UFC shortly after.
During his time in WWE The Straightedge Superstar stood out thanks to his toughness, incredible talent and numerous tattoos, one of which was a Pepsi logo.
Prichard explained in his show “Something Else to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard” that Punk got that after finding out that one of his favourite music stars got a Coca-Cola tattoo.
He said: “He really liked tattoos. He got into tattoos and what have you.
“There’s a story of the big Pepsi tattoo where he was reading an article about one of his favourite music stars, who got a Coca-Cola tattoo because they liked Coke. And he says, ‘Well, you know what? I like Pepsi so I’m going to get a Pepsi logo on my arm.’
“And it was interesting stories like that. CM Punk’s a different cat, he’s a different type of person that goes along life to the beat of his own drum, and he has a very, really simplistic way of looking at things.
“People a lot of times want to complicate it. It’s not that hard – he doesn’t drink, he doesn’t do drugs, and he wants to do things his way, and be the best. It all boils down to that simple of a philosophy.”
CM Punk’s UFC stint hasn’t been as successful as his WWE career as he lost his debut fight at UFC 203 to Mickey Gall who submitted him in two minutes and 18 seconds two years ago.
The ex-WWE Champion then lost to Mike Jackson via unanimous decision in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois at UFC 225.
