It is understood Everton will announce the striker’s arrival in the next few days.

They claim Atletico’s transfer ban for the summer window prevented them from making a rival offer.
Not that Everton will lose any sleep over that…
18:38: The number crunchers in Spain believe selling Cristiano Ronaldo would earn Real Madrid £350m (€400m).
Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid, with PSG, Manchester United and the Chinese Super League linked to the striker.
And Marca claim Real will be up £350m on the deal if they do sell.
They calculate that Ronaldo would likely leave for a £175m transfer fee.

Lyon and Marseille want to sign Olivier Giroud
18:24: Lyon and Marseille want to sign Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal are gunning to sign Alexandre Lacazette this summer and his proposed arrival could spell the end of Giroud’s time in north London.
L’Equipe claim Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has already axed the Frenchman from his plans for next season.
It is added that Giroud would not be used as a makeweight in a deal to sign Lacazette.
18:16: Barcelona want to push on with their move for Ousmane Dembele.
L’Equipe claim Barca director Robert Fernandez and Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko are in talks over a deal for the Dortmund forward.
Yesterday, the agent said: “Ousmane is currently on holiday and we will discuss the situation together when he returns. I do not want to discuss everything that could be said on the future of Ousmane.
“We know that he is the subject of interest from big European clubs and that is sort of logical owing to his performances.”
17:45: Barcelona and Benfica are in talks over a move for Nelson Semedo – but the Spanish giants still want Hector Bellerin.
A Bola claim Barca have contacted Benfica over a proposed deal for Semedo.
They are keen to sort out their right-back spot for next season.

Perez wants Ronaldo to stay and will hold out for a huge transfer fee if he cannot convince the player otherwise.
17:00: Newcastle and Brighton are in for goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
His agent says the goalkeeper, who is also wanted at Chelsea, isn’t heading to Argentina.
“We have some offers from England, he wants to stay in England,” Adrian Faija told Goal.com.
“Newcastle is cold but pretty and the beaches in Brighton are beautiful as well and easily accessible from London.
“There isn’t an offer from Boca. To analyse it, first, we need an offer. It needs be real first [before we consider Boca].”

United are aware that Inter need to sell in order to raise funds to meet their Financial Fair Play obligations.
And the Red Devils are hoping they can therefore strike a bargain for the Croatia international.
14:55: AC Milan director Massimiliano Mirabelli has jokingly claimed they will sell Gianluigi Donnarumma to Real Madrid if they get Cristiano Ronaldo in return.

Manchester United want to sign Ivan Perisic
14:36: AC Milan legend Arrigo Sacchi has hit out at Gianluigi Donnarumma’s decision to quit the club.
Donnarumma will not sign a new contract at the San Siro, alerting Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus to his availability.
And Sacchi says the 18-year-old has put money ahead of pride.
“I used to respect Donnarumma as a lad and as a player, but I was stunned by the lack of gratitude towards Milan,” wrote Sacchi in Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
“This decision makes me doubt not just his personal integrity, but also what his future career will hold.
“I want to remind him of all those who put money before all else, for example Kaka and Shevchenko, who left Milan for Real Madrid and Chelsea only to later bitterly regret it.”
14:32: More Celtic transfer news. The Hoops have reportedly made a £4.8m bid for Lens defender Jean-Kevin Duverne.

The Toon are already in talks with Eibar over a deal for Florian Lejeune.

However, Newcastle would have to cough up £15m for Chambers, which may prove too much for the St James’ Park club.
13:55: Chelsea will announce their first signing of the summer on July 1.
According to the London Evening Standard, Willy Caballero is likely to join on a free transfer but the Blues will not confirm the deal until next month.
Caballero is a free agent after leaving Manchester City and will be Thibaut Courtois’ deputy.
13:48: CELTIC DONE DEAL
Celtic have finally signed Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen, with Ryan Christie heading the other way.
Express Sport revealed on Thursday that the Hoops had agreed a £1.3m deal to sign Hayes, with Christie thrown into the bargain.
Hayes has signed a three-year deal at Celtic Park.
“I’m delighted. It’s been in the pipeline for a little while now but I’m pleased to finally get here. I was eager to get it over the line for the last few weeks,” Hayes said.
“Celtic have done well over the last few seasons and with the manager coming in last year he raised the level again. It was hard last year seeing all the celebrations and all the stuff on social media and you want that for yourself and to be part of it.
“Now it’s my chance and hopefully, going forward, I can create my own little bit of history and take the chance I’ve been given.”
13:17: Arsenal are in pole position to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the bookies, but he may decide to stay at Lyon.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed this week that Lyon had rejected a “very nice offer” for Lacazette from Arsenal.
Liverpool are also said to be interested in Lacazette, with French outlet L’Equipe claiming they have held initial talks for the £60million-rated striker.
And bookmakers Betfair reckon Arsenal (2/1) are leading Liverpool (4/1) the race for the France international.
But Lacazette could opt to stay at Lyon this summer – which can be found at even money – with a view to joining Atletico Madrid in January.

Huddersfield are the bookmakers’ favourite to sign Chris Wood from Leeds
PSG are frontrunners to sign Ronaldo and the report adds that Manchester United cannot financially compete with the mega-rich French club.
United have kept tabs on Ronaldo since he left for Real back in 2009.
And any decision on a bid for the Portugal superstar would come from Jose Mourinho, rather than the board.

The New Zealand international was Leeds’ stand-out player last season, topping the Championship scoring charts with 27 goals.
And according to bookmakers Betfair, Huddersfield are 11/2 favourites to sign Wood this summer.
Championship rivals Middlesbrough, who recently appointed Wood’s former Leeds manager Garry Monk, are just behind in the market at odds of 6/1.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is said to be looking to strengthen his options in attack as he prepares to challenge for the Premier League title next season. 9:30: Liverpool legend Steve Nicol believes £40million on Roma winger Mohamed Salah would be too much money because he won’t start for Jurgen Klopp’s side. “It is a lot of money, yeah,” he said on ESPN FC. “It’s a lot of money for Liverpool to buy a player, who, if everybody is fit, I don’t think starts. “You play Coutinho on the left, you play Mane on the right. “I don’t think you play Salah through the middle, that means he doesn’t start. “As far as the squad, obviously Liverpool are in the Champions League yes, but for £40million? I don’t think so.” 9:00: Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to re-sign for Manchester United this summer. The Real Madrid superstar has told the club he wants to leave this summer after growing frustrated at tax allegations lodged against him, which he denies.
