TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: Manchester United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool updates and more…

Saturday 17 June

18:50: More on Everton’s move to sign Sandro Ramirez.

It is understood Everton will announce the striker’s arrival in the next few days.

And Spanish newspaper AS claim the Toffees have beaten Atletico Madrid to the Spain U-21 gem.

They claim Atletico’s transfer ban for the summer window prevented them from making a rival offer.

Not that Everton will lose any sleep over that…

18:38: The number crunchers in Spain believe selling Cristiano Ronaldo would earn Real Madrid £350m (€400m).

Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid, with PSG, Manchester United and the Chinese Super League linked to the striker.

And Marca claim Real will be up £350m on the deal if they do sell.

They calculate that Ronaldo would likely leave for a £175m transfer fee.

And the Spanish club would also save another £175m over the next four years for not having to pay his £43.73m annual wages.

Olivier GiroudGETTY

Lyon and Marseille want to sign Olivier Giroud

18:24: Lyon and Marseille want to sign Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal are gunning to sign Alexandre Lacazette this summer and his proposed arrival could spell the end of Giroud’s time in north London.

L’Equipe claim Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has already axed the Frenchman from his plans for next season.

It is added that Giroud would not be used as a makeweight in a deal to sign Lacazette.

18:16: Barcelona want to push on with their move for Ousmane Dembele.

L’Equipe claim Barca director Robert Fernandez and Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko are in talks over a deal for the Dortmund forward.

Yesterday, the agent said: “Ousmane is currently on holiday and we will discuss the situation together when he returns. I do not want to discuss everything that could be said on the future of Ousmane.

“We know that he is the subject of interest from big European clubs and that is sort of logical owing to his performances.”

17:45: Barcelona and Benfica are in talks over a move for Nelson Semedo – but the Spanish giants still want Hector Bellerin.

A Bola claim Barca have contacted Benfica over a proposed deal for Semedo.

They are keen to sort out their right-back spot for next season.

But the report claims Barca still prefer Bellerin and will only go ahead with a move for Semedo if they cannot prise the Spaniard away from Arsenal.

17:28: Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent will have a meeting with Florentino Perez tomorrow to discuss the player’s desire to leave Real Madrid.

Spanish radio station Onda Cero claim Jorge Mendes has been summoned to the Bernabeu.

Perez was apparently not informed of Ronaldo’s decision to quit the European champions and only found out when reading the press reports yesterday.

Perez wants Ronaldo to stay and will hold out for a huge transfer fee if he cannot convince the player otherwise.

17:00: Newcastle and Brighton are in for goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

His agent says the goalkeeper, who is also wanted at Chelsea, isn’t heading to Argentina.

“We have some offers from England, he wants to stay in England,” Adrian Faija told Goal.com.

“Newcastle is cold but pretty and the beaches in Brighton are beautiful as well and easily accessible from London.

“There isn’t an offer from Boca. To analyse it, first, we need an offer. It needs be real first [before we consider Boca].”

16:38: Sandro Ramirez will be an Everton player within the next 48 hours.

The 26-year-old has passed a medical at the Toffees and his signing should be complete by Monday.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim the transfer is done.

And Everton are waiting to announce the £5.2m arrival from Malaga.

15:42: Liverpool have agreed to meet Roma’s asking price for Mohamed Salah.

Egyptian website KingFut say the Reds will pay £39.4m (45m euros) for Salah.

Salah is Jurgen Klopp’s top transfer target to add pace and creativity to his Liverpool squad.

15:24: Inter Milan will meet Manchester United for talks over Ivan Perisic’s future next week.

United want to sign £35m-rated Perisic and have supposedly agreed initial terms with the player.

And now Corriere dello Sport claim the two clubs will come together next week to discuss a fee.

United are aware that Inter need to sell in order to raise funds to meet their Financial Fair Play obligations.

And the Red Devils are hoping they can therefore strike a bargain for the Croatia international.

14:55: AC Milan director Massimiliano Mirabelli has jokingly claimed they will sell Gianluigi Donnarumma to Real Madrid if they get Cristiano Ronaldo in return.

He told Corriere dello Sport: “If Real Madrid want Donnarumma we are ready to talk to Perez [about Ronaldo] but we are not going to bid anywhere close to € 400 million, which is the player’s price-tag according to the Spanish press.”

14:36: AC Milan legend Arrigo Sacchi has hit out at Gianluigi Donnarumma’s decision to quit the club.

Donnarumma will not sign a new contract at the San Siro, alerting Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus to his availability.

And Sacchi says the 18-year-old has put money ahead of pride.

“I used to respect Donnarumma as a lad and as a player, but I was stunned by the lack of gratitude towards Milan,” wrote Sacchi in Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

“This decision makes me doubt not just his personal integrity, but also what his future career will hold.

“I want to remind him of all those who put money before all else, for example Kaka and Shevchenko, who left Milan for Real Madrid and Chelsea only to later bitterly regret it.”

14:32: More Celtic transfer news. The Hoops have reportedly made a £4.8m bid for Lens defender Jean-Kevin Duverne.

Celtic first became interested in Duverne in January.

The 19-year-old left-back impressed in Ligue 2 last season.

And L’Equipe claim Celtic are the first of a number of suitors to have made an offer.

Calum ChambersGETTY

Newcastle are interested in Calum Chambers

14:00: Newcastle are tracking Arsenal defender Calum Chambers – and are also eyeing a move for Celtic’s Jozo Simunovic.

The Chronicle claim the Magpies are pushing to sign new defenders head of their return to the Premier League next term.

The Toon are already in talks with Eibar over a deal for Florian Lejeune.

And the report claims Chambers and Simunovic could also be added to Rafael Benitez’s squad before the summer is out.

However, Newcastle would have to cough up £15m for Chambers, which may prove too much for the St James’ Park club.

13:55: Chelsea will announce their first signing of the summer on July 1.

According to the London Evening Standard, Willy Caballero is likely to join on a free transfer but the Blues will not confirm the deal until next month.

Caballero is a free agent after leaving Manchester City and will be Thibaut Courtois’ deputy.

13:48: CELTIC DONE DEAL

Celtic have finally signed Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen, with Ryan Christie heading the other way.

Express Sport revealed on Thursday that the Hoops had agreed a £1.3m deal to sign Hayes, with Christie thrown into the bargain.

Hayes has signed a three-year deal at Celtic Park.

“I’m delighted. It’s been in the pipeline for a little while now but I’m pleased to finally get here. I was eager to get it over the line for the last few weeks,” Hayes said.

“Celtic have done well over the last few seasons and with the manager coming in last year he raised the level again. It was hard last year seeing all the celebrations and all the stuff on social media and you want that for yourself and to be part of it.

“Now it’s my chance and hopefully, going forward, I can create my own little bit of history and take the chance I’ve been given.”

13:17: Arsenal are in pole position to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the bookies, but he may decide to stay at Lyon.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed this week that Lyon had rejected a “very nice offer” for Lacazette from Arsenal.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in Lacazette, with French outlet L’Equipe claiming they have held initial talks for the £60million-rated striker.

And bookmakers Betfair reckon Arsenal (2/1) are leading Liverpool (4/1) the race for the France international.

But Lacazette could opt to stay at Lyon this summer – which can be found at even money – with a view to joining Atletico Madrid in January.

13:14: Nice want to sign Stoke midfielder Giannelli Imbula on loan.

L’Equipe claim the Ligue 1 club are keen to and the 24-year-old.

Imbula cost Stoke £18.3m last year but has failed to settle down at the Potters.

He is available for transfer and talks between Stoke and Nice are said to be taking place.

12:43: More now on Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo wants to leave Real this summer and has told his agent Jorge Mendes to find a new club.

The Sun (9:00) claim he is keen to rejoin Manchester United.

But Mendes appears to have already spoken to Paris Saint-Germain regarding a deal.

The Daily Mail claim Mendes spent two hours with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Cardiff’s Hilton Hotel on the day of the Champions League final.

Chris WoodGETTY

Huddersfield are the bookmakers’ favourite to sign Chris Wood from Leeds

PSG are frontrunners to sign Ronaldo and the report adds that Manchester United cannot financially compete with the mega-rich French club.

United have kept tabs on Ronaldo since he left for Real back in 2009.

And any decision on a bid for the Portugal superstar would come from Jose Mourinho, rather than the board.

12:35: Huddersfield have emerged as favourites by the bookies to sign Leeds striker Chris Wood.

The New Zealand international was Leeds’ stand-out player last season, topping the Championship scoring charts with 27 goals.

And according to bookmakers Betfair, Huddersfield are 11/2 favourites to sign Wood this summer.

Championship rivals Middlesbrough, who recently appointed Wood’s former Leeds manager Garry Monk, are just behind in the market at odds of 6/1.

Wood was linked with a move to West Ham towards the end of last season, but the Hammers are considered outsiders for his signature at 33/1.

12:00: Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

French outlet L’Equipe claim the 26-year-old, a long-term target for the Gunners, has opted to join Atletico Madrid.

The France international is reportedly willing to wait it out at Lyon and sign for Atletico in January due to the La Liga clubs ban on transfers.

Atletico are reportedly willing to spend £44million on Lacazette, who scored 37 goals for Lyon last season.

Transfer News: Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester United return

11:36: Arsenal and Watford are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.

But the Gunners have made the first move for the 23-year-old, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.

He says the Gunners have “contacted” Juventus regarding Lemina, who us supposedly available.

Lemina only started eight Serie A games at Juve last term as they secured a sixth successive league title.

11:27: Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing Kasper Schmeichel.

However, the two Premier League clubs will have to break the transfer record for a goalkeeper to snap up the Dane.

That is according to The Sun, who claim Leicester have set Schmeichel’s valuation at £50m.

Leicester don’t want to sell and Schmeichel is under contract.

But the lure of Champions League football may be too much for the 30-year-old.

10:35: Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has revealed he snubbed Paris Saint-Germain before his £32million move to Stamford Bridge last summer.

The 26-year-old told Le Parisian: “It’s true that PSG were like other clubs after my good season with Leicester.

“But I chose Chelsea after speaking to the coach and the sporting director.

“And I don’t regret it. What’s more, the league and the style of play in England pleases me.”

10:00: Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang.

Niang has been heavily linked with a £16million move to Everton this summer after a spell on loan at Watford last season.

But according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Premier League rivals Arsenal are keen to beat Everton to the Frenchman.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is said to be looking to strengthen his options in attack as he prepares to challenge for the Premier League title next season.

9:30: Liverpool legend Steve Nicol believes £40million on Roma winger Mohamed Salah would be too much money because he won’t start for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“It is a lot of money, yeah,” he said on ESPN FC. “It’s a lot of money for Liverpool to buy a player, who, if everybody is fit, I don’t think starts.

“You play Coutinho on the left, you play Mane on the right.

“I don’t think you play Salah through the middle, that means he doesn’t start.

“As far as the squad, obviously Liverpool are in the Champions League yes, but for £40million? I don’t think so.”

9:00: Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to re-sign for Manchester United this summer.

The Real Madrid superstar has told the club he wants to leave this summer after growing frustrated at tax allegations lodged against him, which he denies.

And having now made his mind up for his future, The Sun claim he is ready to make a sensational return to Old Trafford.

The report suggests United could stump up £180million for the 32-year-old and his Real team-mate Alvaro Morata, with goalkeeper David De Gea going the other way.
