Antonio Conte: This is what I really think about Chelsea's youth players
Chelsea won the Cup for the fourth time in a row with a 6-2 aggregate success over Manchester City.
The victory cemented Chelsea‘s position as the best academy in the country.
Chelsea have struggled to fully integrate their young stars into their first team regularly despite their dominance.
But Conte is hopeful some of the young talent will become permanent fixtures at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “For sure it’s very important for Chelsea to the work in the academy. It’s working very well. I think in this team I saw four or five players with a good prospect for the future.
“But it’s not easy to become a Chelsea player and play for the first team. This gap is not simple, not only at Chelsea but all teams. We must be proud of the work for the academy.
“Our squad is 23 players with three goalkeepers. We have four players from our academy. Ruben, Chalobah, Ake and Aina. This is great.”
