Avengers 4 leak: HUGE Iron Man shock sets up DEVASTATING finale

The Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t really about superheroes. It is about family.

More than anything it is about fathers – from Thanos and his children (including the devastating final scene with Gamora) to Star-Lord and his search for Ego before he realises Yondu was there all along.

Thor is defined by his struggle to find his place with Odin, Tony Stark is haunted by the loss of Howard Stark.

And now Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have let slip a huge spoiler for Avengers 4 that sets up huge heartbreak and also gives another clue to the rumoured time travel plot.

During a scene in Infinity war, Tony Stark quips to Pepper Potts that he dreamed they had a son called Morgan.

A new interview in an official Marvel magazine reveals that this may not have been an empty joke.

Paltrow says: “Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”

With the majority of fans suspecting Avengers 4 will see Stark make the ultimate sacrifice to save the universe, this will make it even more devastating.

The eternal man-child has finally grown up, the playboy has settled with Pepper and even started to mentor/parent Peter Parker. 

If he finally has a child and then dies it will be almost unbearable.

The quote has also started many thinking about the growing theories that Avengers 4 will jump forward up to ten years after the events of Infinity War. 

A recent casting leak reported that a 16-year-old was being sought to play the daughter of Ant-Man, who is currently only six in the movies.

Many fans believe Avengers 4 will pick up some years after Infinity War, with the remaining Avengers struggling to continue after such devstating losses, before Captain Marvel and potentially Ant-Man use the Quantum Realm or some form of time travel to reverse the losses suffered in The Snap.

Either way, whether Tony Stark has a new baby or a growing child, it will make his potential sacrifice even more powerful.
