For a franchise that stretches 19 movies, the Cinematic Universe had a big task for Avengers Infinity War.

Gathering all the heroes from previous films going back 10 years, Marvel Studios adds one more chapter to the saga with Infinity War.

Featuring more than 35 major Marvel heroes, Infinity War sees Earth’s mightiest heroes take on the mad titan Thanos, as he hunts down the six infinity stones.

With plenty of Marvel superheroes on screen, is Quicksilver one of them?

Where has Quicksilver been?

Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is a character Marvel fans have not seen since 2015, but he has remained in the hearts of many since his last appearance.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) saw Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) create an AI superbeing hell-bent on destroying humanity.

The Avengers teamed up to stop the psychotic super-robot Ultron (James Spader) from destroying the world, introducing a few new heroes on the way.

Two characters to be introduced were Wanda and Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, twins who were deeply affected by Stark’s weapons of war.

The Eastern Europeans witnessed their town ravaged by war, with weapons sold by the billionaire, instilling a deep hatred in their hearts.

Kidnapped by Hydra, the twins were experimented on by the evil Wolfgang von Strucker, turning them into superbeings through the power of the Sceptre.

Wanda was given the power to bend and alter reality, using her mind to change memories, produce visions and illusions, telekinesis and matter alteration.

Pietro, on the other hand, was given the ability to travel at supersonic speed, with heightened durability to maintain his velocity.

As the twins learn that the existence of the world hangs in the balance, they quickly switch over to the Avengers, helping them to defeat Ultron and save Sokovia.

Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. arrive just in time to ferry away evacuees, a task that Quicksilver heroically helps out with. As Ultron takes aim at a helpless Hawkeye, Quicksilver dashes to save him, giving Marvel fans a heartbreaking death scene.

In the crossfire, Quicksilver is shot proving himself to be a hero and a true Avenger in the end.

Is Quicksilver in Avengers 4?

During the events of , many heroes fell in battle to Thanos. Quicksilver was already dead, having been killed in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Avengers 4 filmed back to back with Infinity War and was reportedly scheduled to wrap in January 2018 but it appears as though they have not quite finished filming with past cast members spotted on set.

According to various unconfirmed reports, Aaron Taylor-Johnson who played Quicksilver has been spotted working on the production causing fans to drive themselves wild over his possible return to the MCU.

The claims are yet to be confirmed, as no picture evidence currently shows Taylor-Johnson on set.

Some fans speculate that Avengers 4 will feature a lot of time travel, as the heroes make their way back through the MCU to fix the future.

If that’s the case, Quicksilver could make his way back into the MCU.

Taylor-Johnson signed a multi-film contract before he joined Age of Ultron in 2015.

Avengers 4 is scheduled for release May 3 2019.
