Avengers Infinity War shock: LOOK who's holding Soul Stone in NEW pic – Not who you think
WARNING POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
Where is the Soul Stone? After failing to turn up in Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther, fans are hoping the final Infinity Stone will appear in Marvel‘s Avengers Infinity War.
While recent promo art appears to connect the Soul gem to Iron Man, an official Hulk toy for the new movie is advertised on the Toys R Us website holding it.
The orange gem can be attached to Hulk’s concrete-slab weapon and is described as “an attachable Infinity Stone for movie-inspired battling action.”
Interestingly an official LEGO set has also been revealed featuring the Soul Stone and Bruce Banner – Hulk’s alter-ego.
That set sees a battle taking place in Wakanda, with Bruce in the Hulkbuster – presumably having flown over from New York, having landed there in the trailer – while he and Falcon take on Proxima Midnight and one of Thanos’ outriders.
There’s even a shot on the box of Bruce leaping out of the Hulkbuster to grab the Soul Stone.
So do these toys reflect the plot of Avengers Infinity War? Probably not, since the other single character action-figures also come with an Infinity Stone that isn’t particularly linked to them in the movies.
The Toys R Us description also notably said “movie-inspired action” and having an Infinity Stone come with each character could easily be part of a collect-them-all marketing ploy.
If anything it’s more likely that Disney want their Marvel toys to be mixed up in this sense to avoid plot spoilers – but who knows?
Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018.
