F1 LIVE: Lewis Hamilton blasts new rule as Max Verstappen makes decision on Mercedes move
Speaking to LBC, Sebastian Vettel has called for “more transparency” in Formula One – saying it would “probably lead to a better conclusion” in Christian Horner’s Red Bull saga among other incidents.
Horner was cleared of allegations of “inappropriate behaviour” last month following an internal investigation into his conduct. His accuser has however appealed against the decision.
Vettel won four consecutive Drivers’ Championship titles with Red Bull under Horner but said: “Will they be knocked at all by some of the other stories, the non-racing stories that are circulating around him? I don’t know. I wish for more transparency.
“That’s the only thing really from the outside to wish for. Because otherwise [it’s] very difficult to form an opinion if you don’t have all the information, but I understand as well that some things you want to keep private because they are private.
“But obviously if they… become a problem and not right and not fair, not just then they need to come out. So with all the things going on at the minute, it’s very difficult to know exactly what’s going on.”
