Fifty Shades Freed: GREAT news for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson

The third and final movie in the trilogy was revealed over the weekend to have passed the $300 million barrier at the worldwide box office; a great achievement for a movie with such a low review score from critics.

What’s more, it has pushed the entire franchise over the jaw-dropping $1.25 billion mark.

With the cumulative budget for all three movies clocking in at well below $200 million, that’s quite a considerable profit.

It’s also impressive seeing as there are some international territories where the movie isn’t even playing, due to its raunchy content.

Overall, Freed is tracking to finish considerably lower than Fifty Shades of Grey’s $571 million total, and only a hairline below Fifty Shades Darker’s $381.1 million.

Deadline cites a reasonable estimate now for it at $340 million worldwide for Freed by the time it exits cinemas.

Johnson and Dornan are already moving on to other things: Johnson will next be seen in Bad Times at the El Royale, Suspiria and The Peanut Butter Falcon.

Dornan, meanwhile, will be in Robin Hood – which is currently in post production – and Untogether.
