North Korea ready for 'ALL-OUT WAR' as US & South Korea forces prepare for military drills
The commentary piece condemned South Korean officials for allegedly holding talks with the US as they plan to host the biggest ever joint military drill to antagonise the hermit state.
The piece by DPRK Today reads: “The puppets (in the South) do not hide their aim of conducting the exercise for a preemptive strike against our nuclear and missile bases, manifesting the will of the US and its followers to stage an all-out war against us.”
North Korea also promised to launch an attack of “converging fire” if they feel threatened by the joint military exercises.
The communist state also boasted it had the “strongest nuclear weapons” and “state-of-the-art strategic strike measures” which could be unleashed at any point, according to Yonhap News.
Preparations for the enormous military drill are now underway, with military officials in Washington and Seoul sending warships, fighter planes, bombers and troops for the record-breaking operation on the Korean Peninsula, dubbed ‘Key Resolve’.
He added: “North Korea must fully comply with the relevant UN security counsel resolutions.”
Meanwhile President Trump said: “I just want everybody to understand that the USA stands behind Japan, its great ally, 100 per cent.”
Earlier on Tuesday, news emerged that Kim Jong-un’s half-brother had been killed in a Malaysian airport.
Kim Jong-nam, 45, was the oldest son of Kim Jong-ill, the current leader’s father and predecessor.
Initial reports by South Korean media say he was killed at Kuala Lumpur airport by two women, said to be North Korean operatives, carrying a “poisoned needle”.
