De Gea continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester United this summer.

Real are determined to finally land the Spain international – two years after missing out on him due to a faulty fax machine.

The Red Devils are determined to keep hold of their star asset and reports claim they are readying a new contract in order to thwart his move to the Bernabeu.

However, Spanish outlet Don Balon say De Gea’s arrival is causing problems in the Real dressing room.

It is said Zinedine Zidane’s players are worried about the salary the United star could earn if he makes the move.

Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos and Marcelo all feel the 26-year-old does not deserve wages higher than what they earn.

As a result, De Gea is supposedly now prepared to take a pay cut to make the move.

United have been linked with several shot-stoppers as potential replacements.

AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Obak are both in the frame to be Jose Mourinho’s No1 next season.
