The likes of Madonna and Celine Dion owe a lot to classical composers
The Classic FM report, which celebrates the radio station’s 25th birthday, has compiled the biggest song from each of its years on air to sample a classical piece of music. The results, seen below, have thrown up everyone from S Club 7 to Puff Daddy. “The list of hits from the past 25 years is fantastic because it confirms just how relevant classical music is to our lives,” John Suchet said. “We are on a mission to make classical music accessible to everyone, regardless of age or background.
