We’ve reached the quarter-final stage of The Masters snooker at the Alexandra Palace and Ronnie O’Sullivan has beaten Barry Hawkins to book a a place in the final four. Shaun Murphy v Jack Lisowski, Judd Trump v Ali Carter, and Mark Selby v Mark Allen will complete the last-eight ties.

The first of today’s two matches has been completed, with seven-time winner Ronnie O’Sullivan beating 2022 runner-up Barry Hawkins. Despite a sketchy display, pre-tournament favourite O’Sullivan came through the contest 6-3 having trailed 3-2 at one point.

O’Sullivan admitted afterwards he was not at his best. But his ambitions of an eighth Masters title remain very much alive.

The second match today gets underway at 7pm, with Shaun Murphy playing Jack Lisowski.
