Terror Brings Love this Valentine’s Day With Haunted Houses

There’s nothing better on Valentine’s Day than to get close to the one you love. Of course, if the one you love is running and screaming, and holding onto you for dear life, that’s always a bit better somehow.

You may not think of horror around one of the most love-filled days of the year, but each year, more haunted houses are coming out of the woodwork to bring you terror to make you closer to the one you love. What has been a traditionally Halloween trademark has now torn its way into Valentine’s Day, and it does make the perfect (albeit unique) date night.

NetherWorld, Atlanta Georgia

Scream in the Dark this Valentine’s Day Weekend at Netherworld. The Atlanta, Georgia haunted house is one of the biggest and best haunted attractions in the country. This year, they are taking you through their massive haunted house by Candlelight. You’ll be armed with a single LED candle, with hordes of monsters and ghouls waiting to scare the love right out of you. It’s a very unique twist to an already great haunted house.

Cutting Edge, Dallas/Fort Worth Texas

They’re calling it “Wine Cheese and Chainsaws”, as the Cutting Edge, one of the biggest haunted attractions in Texas, is bringing up massive amounts of the undead back to eat your heart out. The attraction has been doing Valentine’s Day for the past six years, and people keep coming back. The event will be open the weekend before Valentine’s Day, and will take on a special love theme.

House of Torment, Austin Texas

Valentine’s X is House of Torment’s Valentine’s Day little love note to the couples out there. The haunted attraction is one of the biggest and best in Texas, and is featuring a uniquely themed haunt for the weekend before Valentine’s Day.  Guests will try to survive the undead, chainsaws, and all manner of monsters. What’s love got to do with it? Nothing much really, but if you survive there might be some extra lovin’ in your night.

The event will also spread to the other haunts in the House of Torment family. There are locations in Illinois, as well as The 13^th Floor line, which has locations in Denver, Chicago, San Antonio and Phoenix. All locations will be celebrating Valentine’s X this weekend.

Midnight Terror, Oak Lawn Illinois

Just outside of Chicago is the insane haunted attraction that not only is scary, but interactive. This year, they are offering a truly interactive experience for Valentine’s Day. Midnight Terror will have an all-new maze, Escape Room, and the best part for Chicago area resident’s is that it’s all indoors and warm. The experience will have guests interacting with the characters, and will also include something called a S&M maze, which might be worth looking into for all the “50 Shades” fans.
