Woman shares tip to warm up hands at home that doesn't cost anything

With temperatures dropping and bills rising, everyone is desperate to find hacks to stay warm without forking out a mini fortune to warm up the house.

Those who work from home know the pain of having to type with freezing finger all too well. A warm jumper would still leave your fingers out in the cold, and gloves would hinder your ability to type or use a trackpad.

Fortunately, one woman on Tiktok came up with a neat trick to warm up your hands, and it doesn’t cost a penny.

She shared the video on her Tiktok account, @vickialderman. She said: “Here’s a little cold weather hack for you if your fingers get cold when you’re working on your laptop, even if you’re wearing your fingerless gloves like me, especially the hand that’s on your mouse.

“My fingers get so cold they hurt, but not anymore because now I do this.

“Get yourself a woolly hat, put your mouse mat and your mouse inside your hat and you’ve got yourself a lovely little warm mouse pad muff.

“It works brilliantly at keeping your hands warm. I better get back to work – till next time! Hope this helps.”

With 3.5 million views on TikTok, Vicki’s video has gotten a lot of traction as viewers were impressed with her solution to the common problem.

It has even caught the attention of some big names. The official Windows account commented “Doing this from now.” While popular YouTuber, MrBeast, simply said: “Real”.
