Avengers 4: Quantum Realm twist to lead to THIS character’s comeback? Big news for Thor

It’s often been suggested that Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster could be back once more, especially after the Russo brothers stayed tight-lipped on whether or not she survived the Snap.

A fan theory posted to Reddit and later shared by comicbook.com speculates that a scene in Thor: The Dark World could have laid the groundwork for her involvement.

The moment in question sees Jane referring to an Asguardian machine as a “Quantum Field Generator”, and that awareness of the Quantum Realm could open the door for her in Avengers 4 – given that it is expected to feature prominently.

After all, it’s where Ant-Man is currently trapped after the end credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

“Plus Marvel has confirmed they evaluated literally every single person alive in the MCU and tried to fit them in if it made sense for the plot.

“Foster is heavily rumoured to be involved, and the Russos declined to reveal if she was still alive.”

The brief theory has been 93% Upvoted since being published yesterday.

Portman said two years ago that she was pretty much “done” with the MCU, and she was nowhere to be seen in Thor: Ragnarok last year.

“As far as I know, I’m done,” she told Wall Street Journal.

“I don’t know if, maybe, one day they’ll ask for an Avengers 7 or whatever. I have no idea!

“But as far as I know I’m done.”

But after the release of Infinity War, the Russo brothers were given a list of characters and were asked to confirm whether or not they survived the Snap.

When asked to give the fate of Jane, they said coyly that they couldn’t answer – because it’s a spoiler.

“When we say spoiler, [we mean] potential spoiler,” Anthony clarified.

Avengers 4 is out on April 26, 2019 in the UK.
