Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, joined her husband, Prince Charles, at the Tate Britain in London.

The pair were celebrating 150 years of the Press Association at Tate Britain.

Dressed in bold purple, the 79-year-old went for a striking look when mingling with other guests.

The purple dress had drilled sleeves and a matching frills skirt that fell to her knees.

She offset the look with black low court shoes, with a pearl necklace and purple earrings.

The royal mingled with Lord Coe, Clive Marshall, Chief Executive of the PA Group and Chairman Murdoch MacLennan.

She was also seen chatting to Rebekah Brookes, former newspaper editor of News International.

Camilla’s bright outfit choice differs from some of her most recent outfits when attending events.

She recently attended YouTube space in London wearing a rather regal outfit that has been compared to the Queen.

Her pale pink suit that fell just above the knee was an elegant choice. It follows from recent rumours that Prince Charles wants her to be named Queen when ascending to the throne.

How much is some of Camilla Parker Bowles’ jewellery worth?

Last week, she attended a banquet in Athens sporting a pair of earrings from Clef & Arpels.

The famous jewellery created the Magic Alhambra Diamon earrings in a clover leaf shape that is known for the brand.

They come at a whopping £34,800.

Her matching dress cost just £2,000, from London-based designer Fiona Clare.

Following a trip to France and Greece, the Duchess of Cornwall has since returned to the UK for the royal wedding.

Her step-son, Prince Harry, will marry his American fiancee Meghan Markle this weekend at Windsor Castle.

Despite a media furore surrounding her family, Prince Charles and Camilla recently said how excited they were for the event.

When asked about the wedding, she told reporters: “We can’t wait”.

Prince Charles added that it was going to be a very special day for everybody”.
