Queen Letizia takes inspiration from Meghan Markle in sleeveless waistcoat

Queen Letiiza, 45, joined her husband King Felipe, 50, the Delivery of Royal Offices in the Central Academy of Defense in Madrid, Spain.

Mum-of-two Letizia looked chic in summer whites, wearing a white A line dress with a belted sleeveless waistcoat over the top.

The waistcoat featured gold hardware detailing, and was reminiscent of something very similar worn by Meghan Markle just yesterday.

Letizia paired her fashion forward outfit with a pair of black sunglasses with graduated lenses to protect her eyes from the sun.

A pair of gold leaf drop earrings matched the gold details on her waistcoat.

The rest of Letizia’s accessories were in a shade of brown – she wore a pair of tan suede court shoes on her feet, and a tan and white leather handbag in her hands.

Letizia wore her shoulder length hair straight down with a slight side parting.

Possibly because of the searing Spanish heat, the royal kept her makeup simple, opting for dusky pink lipstick and understated eyeshadow.

The Queen has had a busy summer, appearing at many official events both alone and with her husband.

Just last week, she showed her thrifty side by rewearing a dress she has worn in the past.

She was snapped arriving to a meeting in Madrid on Friday morning wearing the same dress she wore back in September last year. 

The monochrome dress perfectly accentuated the royal’s slender waistline but also offered an optical illusion for snappers. 

From a far, the thin black and white lines on the dress look as though they bend. 

This time round wearing the dress the former journalist wore a pair of black pointed toe stilettoes. 

In September last year, Letizia attended the opening of a new course at a school in Tenerife wearing the same dress. 

The day before, Letizia stepped out in a cream dress. The stylish former news anchor went for a low cut cream wrap dress with a midi length.

She also wore a pair of nude suede stilettos to add height to her frame. 

The royal posed on the steps outside the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.

The dress was made from a light muslin fabric appropriate for the hot summer weather.

It was frayed at the edges to add a stylish, undone touch to the look.
