Avengers 4: Jeremy Renner teases Hawkeye return – Is he Ronin now?
He’s an original Avenger, but was the only one not to appear in Avengers Infinity War.
Marvel fans had been wondering where Clint Barton has been since he didn’t appear on the Marvel epic’s main poster.
But when the film hit cinemas there was a passing reference to Hawkeye and Ant-Man’s absence, explaining they had both taken a deal with the government to be with and protect their families.
What Scott Lang’s been up to since was revealed in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but Hawkeye remains a mystery.
But now Renner has teased his Avengers 4 return in a new Instagram post.
The picture shows him as Hawkeye in his last MCU appearance two years ago in Captain America: Civil War.
Renner writes: “Got this feelin I need to SUITup soon….
He added the cryptic hashtags: “#comingINhot#missmyfriends #lovemyfamily#marvelous #hawkeye #nestunknown.”
Last month a report claimed that Marvel Studios is considering a Hawkeye movie.
MCU Cosmic teased: “I was told was that Marvel has ideas for a couple of different characters to do some kind of solo film in the future.
“One of these characters was Hawkeye. And Kevin Feige’s comments of different incarnations of characters coincides with what I was told about Hawkeye.
“I won’t say anymore because, again, it’s not something that is likely to happen for a long time if at all, but it’s definitely something that is on Marvel Studios’ radar.”
