Captain Marvel trailer release date: Can fans expect a Captain Marvel trailer THIS MONTH?

Captain Marvel has remained relatively enigmatic to Marvel fans.

Those who may not be as familiar with the comics were perhaps confused by the final moments of Avengers: Infinity War, but comic fans knew who Nick Fury was calling in his final moments.

Captain Marvel is said to be the new face of the MCU following the untitled Avengers 4 movie, which will close the chapter on Phase Three.

There are scant details about Captain Marvel, besides a few hints dropped by star Brie Larson mostly involving filming dates and her workout routine.

When will the Captain Marvel teaser land?

Speaking to ComicBook.com in June as part of his promotion of the Ant-Man and the Wasp sequel, Marvel’s Kevin Feige revealed when fans can expect the trailer.

At the time he said: “I think there’s still a few months on it.”

That was a few months ago, leading fans to believe the trailer could land any day now.

The delay Captain Marvel’s teaser release comes as a surprise to fans and also doesn’t quite fit with the pattern previously established.

For example, Black Panther was released in mid-February and its first teaser came out in June of the previous year

This was a full eight months ahead of its premiere.

However, this summer has been huge for Marvel with Avengers: Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Allowing some breathing room before dropping the Captain Marvel teaser trailer may be a good bet for the superhero giant.

As far as the upcoming plot is concerned, Feige has remained coy.

“You already know as much as you need to,” he said.

“We’ve got Skrulls, we’ve got the Kree, it takes place in the 90s, you have Sam Jackson with two eyes and Carol Danvers, a unique telling of Carol Danvers origin story.”

With Captain Marvel set to take over as face of the MCU, Feige is looking ahead to the future of Marvel.

“I think it would be amazing, another 10 years; another 20 films or so.

“We only focus on one step at a time but that’s all about continuing to surprise with the stories, go unexpected places, continue to play with new, fresh, unexpected genres and then introduce characters that people might have heard of or a beloved big fan base like Captain Marvel or characters like Guardians where before we made that, people had never even heard of them,” he said.

Brie Larson will star as Carol Danvers, the immeasurably strong superhero, who was first brought to life in the 1960s comic books.

Thus Captain Marvel was born.
