The hit sequel to the 2008 original utilises many more ABBA classics and has had a phenomenal summer at the UK box office – becoming the second highest-grossing film of the year behind only Avengers: Infinity War.

The DVD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and digital download is due in November and will include footage of Lily James’s version of I Wonder.

The track featured on the soundtrack album but not in the movie, leading many to wonder if it was filmed and left on the cutting room floor.

Also included on all formats except the DVD will be extended footage from The Name of the Game and Knowing Me, Knowing You.

Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan recorded vocals for the latter, but only Lily James and Jeremy Irvine were seen on-screen.

A deleted scene has also been confirmed for all formats, named only Tahini.

Additionally the releases will feature enhanced sing-alongs, a sing-along version of the movie, and feature commentaries from writer and director Ol Parker and producer Judy Craymer.

Other features include explorations of the costumes, Cher’s involvement, the reunion of the legacy cast, the making of Super Trouper, Lily James’ preparation for playing the younger Donna, and and the young Dynamos gearing up to sing in the recording studio for ABBA’s Benny and Bjorn.

A special two-disc, two-movie collection also includes a Behind The Soundtrack featurette taking an in-depth look at the making of the songs.

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again has had seven weeks in the Top 2 at the UK box office, raking in upwards of £61 million in this country.

That puts it within touching distance of the £68 million achieved by the first film in 2008.

That said, Amanda Seyfried appears to have poured cold water on the chances of a threequel.

“I feel there is enough ABBA music for sure but I’m gonna say the same thing I said 10 years ago: I don’t f-ing think so,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

“It seems like it would be ridiculous. But now anything can happen!”

She added: “The only thing is I would be worried the studio would only make it to make money and, with Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, I know that’s not the case.”

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again is out on digital download on November 12 and DVD and Blu-ray on November 26.
