It meant she was raking in more than £1million per show from her Adele Live 107-date shows around the world.

Figures just revealed for her company Remedy Touring LLP reveal the gigs around the world generated £135.6 million in ticket sales and £6.6 million selling merchandise like T-shirts and hats.

Adele’s tour took in dates across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and puts her in the same league as stars like U2, Rolling Stones, Madonna and Roger Waters who have generated huge sums from tours.

The accounts show that Adele, just 29, who controls the company paid herself £42 million.

The company was left with a profit of just under £70 million after the costs for the mammoth tour were taken into account.

Last year Adele paid herself £16.5 million – or more than £45,200-a-day from her company Melted Stone, which turned over more than £10.7 million even though she did not release a record.

Her last album 25 was number one around the world and sold more than 21 million copies.
