After waiting three years for the Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp is arriving in UK cinemas on Monday, August 6.

This is a full month after the American opening on July 6, 2018.

Is there new Ant-Man and the Wasp footage?

Luckily for UK based Ant-Man and The Wasp fans, the answer is yes.

And the new footage will likely give fans plenty of fuel for theories.

Ant-Man and The Wasp had its world premiere in Hollywood, California on June 25 – and fans who weren’t lucky enough to attend were still able to get a glimpse of the red carpet action.

Ant-Man and The Wasp stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Peña and Michael Douglas, who all return to the roles they originated in the 2015 box office hit Ant-Man.

Paul Rudd has reprised his role as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, for the Marvel movie.

Scott Lang is a former systems engineer at VistaCorp turned petty criminal who obtains a suit that allows him to change size while increasing in strength.

Evangeline Lily is also returning to Ant-Man and The Wasp Hope van Dyne, aka The Wasp.

Both Lily and Rudd were pictured smiling and posing for photos as they arrived on the red carpet ahead of the screening last night – joined by a whole host of other co-stars and celebrity guests.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is the 20th release in a decade from the Marvel Cinematic Universe series of coming book films.

And The Wasp is the first ever female superhero to get her name in the title of a Marvel movie.

The Wasp is the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, who is bequeathed a similar suit and the Wasp mantle from her mother.

Her mother, Janet van Dyne, is being portrayed by Michelle Pfieffer.

The original wasp was lost in the Quantum Realm years ago during a mission with Pym.

At the end of the original Ant-Man movie, Hank Pym was left wondering if his wife might still be alive and trapped in the Quantum Realm.

Ant-Man and The Wasp takes place between Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

During Infinity War Scott Lang was under house arrest after the events of Civil War.

The sequel shows Lang balancing his home life as a father with his duties as Ant-Man.

Then Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym give Ant-Man a new mission, which leads to hidden revelations from the past.

Ant-Man and The Wasp find themselves in an epic struggle against a mighty new foe, Ghost.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is in UK cinemas Monday, August 6, 2018.
