Aquaman release date: When is Aquaman out in the UK? How long before US release date?

Aquaman is set to be Warner Bros saving grace.

Along with Wonder Woman, WB has pinned a lot of hopes on the success of Aquaman after the flop of Justice League.

Starring Jason Momoa, of Game of Thrones fame, the trailer for the Aquaman movie was just released at San Diego Comic Con to the delight of fans.

When is Aquaman out in the UK? How long before the US release date?

The initial release date for the underwater adventure movie was December 21 in the UK.

However, Warner Brothers confirmed the date has been moved forward – much to the delight of eager fans.

The new Aquaman release date is Friday, December 14, 2018.

The UK will get the Aquaman movie one week ahead of the USA.

USA fans are hoping Aquaman’s state-side release will be moved up too, but nothing has been confirmed.

Generally, DC’s main competitor Marvel tends to release its movies later in the UK than the USA.

DC Comics has typically shown its films at the same time on both sides of the Atlantic.

For Aquaman, however, this isn’t the first time the release date has changed.

Aquaman’s first release date, which was initially set way back in December 2016, was for October 5.

Then, in March 2017, it was pushed to December 21, 2018.

Aquaman fans can at least take comfort in the fact the newest release date change hasn’t set it back any further.

Nor will they have to wait a month later, like with Ant-Man and the Wasp and Incredibles 2.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry aka the eponymous hero, Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Orm, Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanta, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

Aquaman is in UK cinemas December 14, 2018.
