Arsenal star was embarrassing against Tottenham – Thierry Henry

Tottenham beat Arsenal 2-0 at White Hart Lane thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane to confirm finishing above their north London rivals for the first time since 1995.

Henry was impressed with Victor Wanyama’s performance against his old side, with the Spurs midfield overrunning Arsene Wenger’s team for the majority of the 90 minutes.

And Henry picked out an occasion, when the Kenyan powerhouse shrugged Ramsey off the ball with ease, as one the Welshman will want to forget.

“It’s actually embarrassing for Aaron Ramsey there,” he said on Sky Sports.

“The man is just too powerful there. It could have happened to anyone at that time.”

Wanyama’s pressing play proved too good for Arsenal but Henry was critical of Granit Xhaka’s involvement in Spurs’ second goal, losing the ball before they won the penalty which was converted by Kane.

“That’s what they do Tottenham when they get the ball back,” he added.

“This is the one for me. He gets the ball. (Alex) Oxlade-Chamberlain knows the pressure is coming, he plays it back to Xhaka.

“I don’t know what Xhaka is doing there, he (Wanyama) has no right to win the ball but because Xhaka doesn’t put his foot in, he wins the ball back, he passes it forward and they win the penalty.

“He did that so many times on the day against Arsenal.”
