Get ready to experience Atlantis, Paradise Island as never before.

The popular resort knows that past success is not an excuse to rest on one’s laurels. It’s no wonder then that it is unveiling a completely renovated Coral Towers and fully transformed Marina Village this month after having undergone a $20 million renovation.

“We’ve taken a step back to look to the future of Atlantis and truly understand what motivates today’s travelers to choose a destination,” Howard C. Karawan, president and marketing director of Atlantis Paradise Island said in a statement. “This [month], we will introduce the newly renovated Coral Towers at Atlantis along with a brand new Marina Village that will allow our guests to connect with Bahamian culture.”

Customers will immediately notice the newly renovated Lobby Lounge, which invites guests to relax and enjoy time together thanks to seating arranged to encourage conversation. And they’ll also find a Soda Fountain that serves up milkshakes, coffee drinks, gelato, pastries and even cocktails.

The resort will also begin rolling out refurbished guest rooms (more rooms will be released from inventory over the coming months until all rooms have been renovated). These contemporary rooms have been decorated in warm palettes of coral and sandy gold to offset the cool light gray tile flooring, and they are furnished with rich mahogany wood-based furniture and cool white linens to reflect their Bahamian location.

Guest bathrooms, meanwhile, have been redone to include new flooring, vanity accents as well as modern showers and tubs. The property’s younger guests will love being pampered with the addition of pint-sized robes.

Come November, guests of the resort will be able to enjoy a fully renovated and reconfigured pool designed by the famed architect Jeffrey Beers. The new blue-and-white poolscape will provide guests with private cabanas, a host of family-friendly water activities and perhaps best of all, a swim-up poolside popsicle bar, featuring preservative-free treats made daily with Bahamian fruit.

The Marina, meanwhile, will encourage guests to enjoy the Bahamas at its most authentic with markets featuring local artisans as well as seasonal festivals that will feature Bahamian musicians and culinary experiences.

Fans of ultra-exclusive Cove Atlantis will be excited to learn of the opening of the iconic Harbour Island restaurant Sip Sip, a “feet in the sand” dining experience.

The restaurant will feature the Bahamian-inspired cuisine of Chef Julie Lightbourn, who will incorporate popular favorites such as spicy conch chili, curried chicken salad and the lobster quesadilla with recipes created just for this new eatery.

The restaurant will stay true to the design of its Harbour Island predecessor and feature Sip Sip’s trademark green and blue colors, white louvers and director chairs. Bahamian architect Mark Henderson, in conjunction with the Cove’s original designer Jeffrey Beers, has designed a beachfront dining terrace overlooking the ocean to provide even more space for guests to relax, enjoy and “sip sip.”
