Avengers 4: Chris Pratt hints at PERMANENT Star-Lord exit after Infinity War?

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Avengers Infinity War.

The Marvel smash ended with 50% of the MCU heroes – and 50% of humanity in general – turning to ash, after Thanos collected all of the Infinity Stones.

Pratt’s Peter Quill – aka Star-Lord – was one of them, along with fellow Guardians Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Groot (Vin Diesel).

Only Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) remained, with Gamora (Zoe Saldana) having been killed earlier on.

Pratt has already confirmed that he and his ship-mates will be back for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, which was previously said to be set after next year’s untitled Avengers 4 – implying they’ll all be revived somehow.

But Pratt has now cast doubt on that, indicating that he’s unsure when Guardians 3 will be set within the MCU timeline.

He’s also hinted that Star-Lord’s death may just be permanent.

“I’m slated to film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in January, so we don’t know yet, time-wise, where that lines up,” MovieWeb quotes him as saying.

“I’m hoping it’s not the last time you’ll see me [in the Marvel Cinematic Universe], but I can’t be sure.”

In any case, it seems we’ve got plenty more blockbuster fun to come with Pratt, namely in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – out in the UK this coming week.

The previous Jurassic World movie was a record-breaking box office smash, so it’s safe to expect more box-office-dominating fun this time around, too.

Avengers 4 is due next May, and has already been filmed – with reshoots and pick-ups due to be completed later in 2018.

In the meantime, fans can go back to the MCU with Ant-Man and the Wasp in July and Captain Marvel next March.
