Avengers 4: ‘Hulk was a victim of the Snap’ – Is THIS how he can bring all heroes back?

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Avengers Infinity War.

Half of humanity was totally wiped out at the end of Infinity War, after Thanos collected all six Infinity Stones.

While many Marvel stars turned to ash, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) remained in tact – after failing to turn himself into the Hulk for most of the movie.

Now, a fan theory returns to the popular idea that the Snap didn’t so much kill half of humanity as ship them off to another dimension – with Hulk as the key.

Reddit user tcmisfit said in a theory that has been 73% upvoted that they believe Hulk and Banner’s connection will enable the heroes in each dimension to realise what’s happened.

“My theory/speculation is this: how would they even know that there is a second plain of existence?” they asked.

“The quantum realm is supposed to be limitless and without boundaries of any type so it could be light years of time difference or an infinite distance between where Ant Man and the Wasp travel to be able to see the snap victims.

“The reason why I believe they know where in the realm to go to find them in the first place, is that the Hulk is a victim of the snap.

“Bruce Banner being a different person and (according to him) unkillable, survived the snap as we saw and so did the Hulk on the other side.

“Now they are still connected afterwards as they normally are but using the Hulk to help guide Bruce to where they and the victims of the snap are in the quantum realm, is what helps Tony, Bruce, Dr Strange, and Dr Pym to guide the universes back together.”

With directors the Russo brothers keen to dissuade fans from thinking the deaths will simply be reversed, riffs on the other-dimension theory are certainly gaining traction.

But whatever the answer, Avengers 4 is a long way off completion yet.

Writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely told the Fat Man and Robin podcast: “The status of Avengers 4 is that we shot it, but it’s not due for a while.

“There’s time for reshoots and fixing and we’re scrubbing through it.”
