Avengers 4: Jeremy Renner teases Hawkeye return in BLOODY photo

Reshoots on Marvel‘s Avengers 4 are currently underway in Atlanta, Georgia, but much of the plot remains heavily under wraps.

Nevertheless cast members have been sharing teasers through their social media accounts and the latest comes from Renner.

The Hawkeye star posted a selfie sporting his character’s new haircut, but also a noticeably bruised and bloody face – presumably thanks to makeup.

Whatever he’s been shooting must have been a pretty intense scene in the fightback against Thanos.

Renner wrote: “Not everyday begins the same…but always finish with a smile #work #fun #shakeitup #hawkeye#marvel #avengers.”

The picture follows one from earlier this month where he commented on Thanos’ Snap with hashtags.

He typed: “Day is done! It’s Friday … enjoy your weekend everyone @marvel@avengers #purplebadguy #hawkeye#widow? #avengers? #A6 ? #sendinglove #cawcawmfs #isanyonegonnashowup??? #whoISstillALIVE?”

Marvel fans will remember Hawkeye was mysteriously missing from Avengers Infinity War.

However we learnt later on in the film that he and Ant-Man had made a deal with the US government to be under house arrest so they could be with their families.

Hawkeye was the only member of the original Avengers team not to feature in Avengers Infinity War.

Nevertheless the archer is expected to play a big role in Avengers 4.

In fact he’s appeared in leaked concert art for the upcoming Marvel epic.

Apart from his new haircut Hawkeye is shown in a new costume and some fans believe he’s going to become Ronin.

In the comics Hawkeye adopted this new identity after he rejoined the New Avengers in the aftermath of Civil War.

Interestingly the last time we saw Clint Barton on screen was at the end of Captain America: Civil War.

Avengers 4 is released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
