Avengers 4: Star-Lord Chris Pratt has already spoiled the ending of Infinity War sequel
WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Avengers Infinity War.
The as-yet-untitled movie, currently referred to as Avengers 4, is due out next year – and one person in particular now knows everything that happens.
That person is Pratt’s co-star, Bryce Dallas Howard, who it seems has been told the lot.
“She knows the whole thing,” he told SiriusXM.
“When I sign a non-disclosure agreement, at the bottom in parenthesis I say, ‘Except for Bryce.’
“You guys don’t even know what I know, but you’ll know pretty soon.”
Pratt’s Star-Lord will be one of several characters starting Marvel’s Avengers 4 in an interesting position: dead.
Several characters were killed off by Thanos at the end of Infinity War when the villain collected all of the Infinity Stones, and was able to wipe out 50% of humanity as part of his twisted plan to prolong the universe’s resources.
Star-Lord and his Guardians companions Mantis, Groot and Drax were among the fatalities, with Gamora killed earlier in the movie.
But with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 already confirmed, many have assumed those who turned to dust will somehow be brought back.
That said, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have hinted that this may not be the case.
“Here’s the thing, I think it’s important to remember anything is possible in the MCU,” Anthony Russo told Huffington Post.
“Just because there’s a sequel on the books doesn’t mean… people become accustomed to time moving linearly in the MCU. That doesn’t necessarily have to be the case.
“There’s a lot of very inventive ways of where the story can go from here.”
Joe Russo pointed out that the previously-announced sequel could take place before Infinity War – like, for example, this summer’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, and next March’s Captain Marvel.
“There’s four years between Guardians 2 and Infinity War,” he said. “That’s a long time, and a lot of Guardians stories to tell.
“Again, as Anthony said, don’t expect everything to move forward in a linear fashion in the Marvel universe.”
