Avengers Endgame artwork shows Captain America DEATH? Is this how Steve Rogers dies?

Fans are desperately worried some of the major Avengers will not make it out of Endgame alive. The two most likely are Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. It is important to distinguish between them and their hero alter-egos since both would be expected to continue in different incarnations, following the same pattern as the comics. Chris Evans has publicly confirmed his contract with Marvel has now ended. Fans want him to find a way back to Peggy Carter, perhaps using the Quantum Realm or Time Stone. A new image cruelly dashes all those hopes. 

The harrowing image shows Steve Rogers in the iconic Captain America costume, lying bloody and broken on the ground. The locket with his treasured picture of Peggy lies near his outstretched arm as blood stains the snow-covered ground, marked with one giant footprint.

Will Thanos kill Steve Rogers? The MCYu likes thems and repeating circular plotlines, so this would echo their first encounter at the end of Infinity War.

Fans may be coming to terms with losing some of the most popular heroes, but does it have to be like this?

Is Steve apologising to Peggy for not making it back to her? Is Bosslogic apologising to fans for drawing their worst fears?

Is this really what could happen?

With just four months to go until Endgame hits cinemas, speculation is reaching fever pitch.

A well as Steve Rogers, many fans are convinced Tony Stark will also die, whether in that stranded spaceship from the trailer or some heroic final sacrifice.

Whatever happens, it is certain another big box of issues will be necessary…
